The demonstration comes after US President Donald Trump's argument that the US needs Greenland for national and international security, as well as comments by US Vice President JD Vance that Denmark has not done enough for Greenland -- a semi-autonomous territory that was once a Danish colony. "It's very important" that people are demonstrating here in Denmark today, says Greenlander Kista Lynge Hoegh.
