The sun sets over a damaged part of Mandalay Palace as the death toll from a major earthquake in Myanmar passes 2,000, and hopes of finding more survivors in the rubble of ruined buildings are fading. According to the junta, the death toll has risen to 2,056, with more than 3,900 people injured and 270 still missing. IMAGES
