Images shot on March 28, 2025 of tents on the banks of the Seine river partially occupied by young migrants following their eviction from the Gaite Lyrique, a central Paris theatre they had occupied for months. The evacuation came as French authorities are seeking to tighten immigration policies, in a move reflecting the rightward shift in French politics. Paris Police Chief Laurent Nunez issued a decree on March 26, 2025 ordering the evacuation of the migrants who have been living in tents on the capital's quays since their expulsion from the Gaite Lyrique last week.
