"It's in our blood", Argentines of Italian origin are upset by Rome's decision to limit its citizenship law to blood ties over two generations, a decision that affects tens of thousands of descendants of emigrants in Argentina and Latin America.
Previously, people proving blood ties of up to four generations -- meaning their great-great grandfather was born in Italy -- could apply to Italy for citizenship.
"It doesn't seem logical to me. There are Italians all over the world. Even if they weren't born there [in Italy], we belong there," believes housewife Alejandra Silvero. IMAGES
