Myriam Jaouen, a former day-care worker accused of poisoning an 11-month-old baby with a corrosive substance, has testified to "tell her truth" to the best of her abilities, given her cognitive and psychological state, her lawyer tells reporters at the Assizes Court of Lyon.
The jury is set to deliver its verdict on Thursday after three days of intense hearings. Jaouen, 30, charged with murder, admitted the facts in the hearings but denied intending to kill 11-month-old Lisa, to whom she gave Destop, a highly corrosive chemical used to unclog drains.
