China's commerce ministry condemns US tariffs on auto imports as "protectionism and bullying" as 25 percent levies on the sector came into effect.
"The global automotive industry is highly dependent on transnational production and supply chains," ministry spokesman He Yadong says, adding: "It only highlights the unilateralism, protectionism, and bullying nature of the US measures." SOUNDBITE
