Description
Thousands of Indigenous people from all over Brazil march to Congress in Brasilia to demand state protection over their territories, threatened by deforestation for agribusiness, mining, and other extractive activities. Delegations of Indigenous peoples are received in the chamber of the House of Representatives, within the framework of the Free Land Camp, the largest Brazilian indigenous meeting.
"It is of utmost importance to be here, at the front, to defend Indigenous rights," says Joenia Wapichana, former Member of the Chamber of Deputies of Brazil, during the session. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
