Description
Indigenous delegations from Fiji, Australia, Papua New Guinea, and Samoa have traveled to Brasilia for the Free Earth gathering, an event that traditionally brings together representatives of indigenous peoples from the Americas each year, but this time highlighted the unity of indigenous communities worldwide.
"It's important for us to come and share that, yes, we face those struggles too," says an Indigenous representative from Fiji.
The UN climate conference, COP30, will be held in November in the Amazonian city of Belem. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
