Description
Heavy rainfall moved through Central Ohio overnight Thursday and into early Friday, leaving behind some flooding in Central Ohio on Friday morning.
Showers will continue to taper through the early part of the day, but another round of heavy rain will return late tonight and again this weekend! That's why 10TV Weather Impact Alert Days remain in place through early Sunday morning, mainly related to our risk for additional flooding.
Rounds of rain will continue through the weekend totaling up to 1 to 4 more inches by Sunday afternoon. That is why the area is under a Flood Watch through Sunday morning.
Through the weekend some storms could still be gusty, though severe weather is not our main focus. A few strong or gusty storms could be possible late Friday through early Saturday, with wind being the main focus. This risk will show up again late Saturday with heavy rain, high winds and hail the primary threats in that order.
Showers will quickly taper off early Sunday, with a shot of much colder air moving in to start next week. This could even include a few light snow showers as we head through Monday evening and overnight, with temps falling into the 20s.
After Monday, dry weather and cooler temps in the 40s settle in for Tuesday and Wednesday. This will turn back to temps in the 50s with some rain chances by Thursday.
Make sure to stay connected to the 10TV Weather Impact team as we keep you up-to-date on any changes and important details on the upcoming rainy forecast.
