Description
After quite the busy Sunday evening, it will be much quieter to kick off the workweek!
A few lingering showers are possible otherwise expect skies to slowly clear. Temperatures will fall to around the mid-50s by sunrise, but that's as warm as we will get for the day. Temperatures will slowly trend downward most of the day, getting into the 40s by the late afternoon.
The chilly air lingers and will make it a colder morning on Tuesday, with wake-up temperatures in the 30s. There will be more sunshine in the forecast on Tuesday as skies will be mostly sunny. Afternoon highs will be slightly below normal, topping out only in the 50s. Clouds will increase yet again as we approach the middle of the week and we will see our next chance for showers and storms on Wednesday.
There will be a big surge of warm, humid air moving into the region Wednesday, and as a result, temperatures will soar again into the mid-70s. This also will contribute, like we saw Sunday, to the perfect set-up for strong to severe storms to develop. Because of the risk for severe weather, we've issued another 10TV Weather Impact Alert Day for Wednesday afternoon and into the night. All types of severe weather will be possible, so make sure you are ready.
This alert day will continue into Thursday when more severe storms could be possible, along with a heightened risk for flooding. These conditions will likely be worse on the southern side of our viewing area, but all areas could see continued impacts on Thursday. It will remain warm, with another day of afternoon highs in the 70s.
Following these days, we'll see more falling temperatures and continued rain chances through next weekend. Highs in the 60s Friday and Saturday with rain and some storms possible, dropping to the 50s by Sunday.
