Description
An interrupted car prowl led to a stray bullet striking a sorority house on the University of Washington's Greek Row early Friday morning.
Just before 2 a.m., a man reported to 911 that he found "multiple suspects" trying to break into his car on the 4700 block of 19th Avenue Northeast and confronted them. During the altercation, one of the suspects attempted to fire their gun, but it jammed.
The suspects fled the immediate area, but then circled the block and fired off multiple shots. The victim was uninjured, but police received a second call from the Alpha Phi sorority house nearby reporting that a bullet had damaged a second-story window. No one in the house was injured.
