Description
Olga Klimova is an in-patient at the Poltava psychiatric hospital in central Ukraine. In the overcrowded room she shares with other patients, the 44-year-old says she is "waiting for the war to end". The establishment, which lacks resources, counts on the help of the humanitarian organisation AICM, which delivered food, equipment and medication in March. Its founder Christian Carrer is worried about the patients: "They have no future... no solution", he laments, pointing out that in wartime it is "almost impossible" to offer them adequate treatment, particularly because "many doctors are at the front".
