Description
A Tarrant County deputy was shot three times while serving a warrant in the Haltom City area on August 7, 2024, officials said.
Tarrant County Judge Tim O'Hare said the deputy's injuries were non-life threatening and he was at the hospital.
"This is another stark reminder of the dangers faced and sacrifices made by the law enforcement community on a daily basis to keep all of us safe," O'Hare posted on social media.
Shortly after 1 p.m., Haltom City police issued a shelter-in-place order related to the shooting for residents between Chesser Boyer Road and 28th Street. Police said they were reportedly engaging with an armed suspect.
