Description
Three cubs of a bear who stirred trouble in Lake Tahoe have been released back into the wild after a stint in rehab.
The mama bear used to be called "Hank the Tank" but now goes by "Henrietta." She was linked to a number of break-ins over several years. Then, she was captured last year and taken to a Colorado Wild Animal Sanctuary.
Meanwhile, her three cubs were taken to a rehab facility in Sonoma County, California to unlearn bad habits. They are now wary of people. They were released Thursday into the Eastern Sierra Nevada mountains.
Officials used nontoxic paintballs and airhorns and yelled to give them urgency to head out, according to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
