The Wits Sterkfontein Caves are once again open after being closed for several years. Located within the Cradle of Humankind UNESCO World Heritage site in Krugersdorp, near Johannesburg, it is where numerous fossils of human relatives have been discovered, making it one of the most important palaeontological sites, and the discoveries continue. "We're finding things every day, we're excavating every day,we find new fossils," says Professor Dominic Stratford. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
