A home in Channelview was destroyed in a large fire that sent smoke into the air Friday afternoon. From Air 11, two firefighters were seen spraying water onto the building on Forest River Drive. White smoke was billowing into the air and walls were collapsing. Multiple fire trucks from Channelview Fire Department were on scene. Fire crews were working to prevent the fire from spreading to additional homes and buildings. The home was along Bear Lake and the San Jacinto River. Nearby homes had docks along the waterfront.
