A jury has found a man guilty of intoxication manslaughter in the death of Harris County Deputy Constable Jennifer Chavis. Adolfo Serrano was convicted Thursday morning of causing the 2022 crash that killed Chavis when he slammed into the back of her patrol unit along Beltway 8 near Fondren. Investigators said the impact caused her vehicle to burst into flames.
