The Houston Fire Department, in collaboration with state and local agencies, is conducting a controlled burn Thursday at Sylvan Rodriguez Park in the Clear Lake area as part of wildfire prevention efforts. The burn, scheduled to begin with preparations at 11 a.m. and a test burn at noon, is intended to reduce excess vegetation that poses an increased wildfire risk, according to HFD.
