One person died after a small plane crashed into a wooded area in Mesquite, east of Dallas, on Thursday, officials said. A Cessna CitationJet crashed after taking off from the Mesquite Metro Airport around 7:40 a.m. Thursday morning near East Cartwright Road and Lawson Road, officials said. The site of the crash is just blocks away from the airport.
