Before Sean Christopher Davis was killed in a shootout with law enforcement Wednesday evening, he shot and wounded a heroic K-9, according to the US Marshals Service. K-9 Rocky alerted officers after finding Davis hiding in a trash bin in the same southwest Houston strip center where Davis gunned down Brazoria County Sheriff's Office Deputy Jesus Vargas hours earlier. Davis shot the K-9 twice before he was shot and killed while still in the dumpster.
