Deputies shot and killed a man who opened fire on them during an investigation in northwest Harris County near Highway 6, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. The sheriff said deputies responded to a call about an abandoned car in the middle of Flemington Avenue, which is near the Concord Colony neighborhood, around 11 a.m. Friday. When the first deputy arrived and started investigating the car, they heard shots from a nearby home, according to Gonzalez. More deputies arrived and the sheriff said the man fired shots out from the home toward the deputies. A crisis negotiation team was called to the scene.
