Description
March 20 on The Story: Since 2022, the voter-approved Metro Supportive Housing Services tax on high-earners has helped to bankroll a major expansion of homeless services in the tri-county area. At the same time, the tax is currently set to expire in 2031 — not as far away as it might sound. The tax has already met its initial goals, but homelessness remains a major issue for the metro area. So now these same leaders are faced with the question of whether to support extending the tax for another two decades.
