Description
March 7 on The Story: In the Clark County community of La Center, school officials are setting up a confrontation with the state of Washington — defying an order that they comply with state policies on gender identity and pronouns in school. Washington officials have ordered the district's superintendent to change its policy which bars teachers and staff from asking students which pronouns they want to use in school, and requires that any gender identity changes be reported to parents. The state argues that the district is discriminating against trans students, but Superintendent Peter Rosenkranz refuses to change course.
