Crews with the Sweet Home Fire District rescued a pair of fishermen who became stuck on an island surrounded by rapidly rising water near the Green Peter Reservoir on Sunday. The fishermen weren't in any immediate danger but couldn't make it back to shore, the Sweet Home Fire District said. No one was hurt. The agency reminds people that water levels in the area can rise with almost no warning when the Green Peter Dam spill gates are opened.
