Feb. 5 on The Story: New laws are empowering law enforcement agencies in Oregon to hit street racers where it hurts — their wheels. On top of stiffer penalties for street racing and takeovers, police can now start criminal forfeiture proceedings so that seized vehicles might not be returned.
