Nov. 26 on The Story: For officers with the Portland Police Bureau's Central Precinct, it's become almost routine. A spotter posts up near the downtown area's latest makeshift market for fentanyl and watches for the dealers to come through, quickly spreading out their supply of the deadly synthetic opioid to buyers anxiously waiting. KGW reporter Blair Best recently had the chance to come along for the night's activities, seeing how police are working to catch dealers and fight the flow of fentanyl — and how it's sometimes difficult to see that it is making a difference.
