Wells Fargo says it will pull its global operations business out of the Portland area before the end of 2025. The story was first reported by The Oregonian after it obtained an email from a company executive to employees that was sent in June explaining the company’s plan. Wells Fargo has already cut roughly 400 jobs in the Portland metro since 2022. Most of the prior cuts have come from its Hillsboro location. Wells Fargo Global Operations has roughly 1,000 employees spread between locations at Wells Fargo Center in downtown Portland, and in Hillsboro and Salem.
