Description
June 13 on The Story: Recently, the Oregon secretary of state's office released a hefty report running through all the audits it performed on other state agencies for the last year. It's a useful tool for finding out where in our state government the waste could be going — or whether there's enough information to even make that judgment. For instance, auditors made note of a whopping $2.9 billion in accounting errors, the result of unintentional mistakes. And within each agency, there could be telltale signs that state officials simply aren't doing a good enough job of keeping track of where the money is going and how it's being spent. We'll walk you through some of those findings.
