Description
June 10 on The Story: Over the next few months, Portlanders are in for a barrage of political campaigning as dozens of aspiring city council members make their pitches ahead of the November election. If you recall, the Portland City Council will triple in size next year, from four members to 12, still with a single mayor elected by a citywide vote. Three council members will be elected from each of Portland's four new districts. And when they take office in January, their role will be very different from what it is now. Continuing our conversation with Michael Jordan, Portland's interim city administrator, we wanted to know what that will look like and what the city is doing now to prepare for 2025.
