CLOSE CALL! A Eugene man narrowly escapes an incident that could have been out of a movie. A four-foot concrete saw came loose at a construction site and went flying towards a nearby convenience store, just seconds after the man walks in. A traffic contractor who witnessed the incident says a loose bolt and possible operator error may have cause the giant saw blade to come loose and spin away. The blade was embedded nearly two feet deep into the wall and took three men to remove from it. “I was thinking, ‘maybe it’s my time.’ I don’t think I would’ve survived being touched by that thing,” Shane Reimche said.
