For obvious reasons, Portland doesn't have many ties to the Super Bowl, but football isn't unheard of here either. The Portland Breakers were part of the USFL, a league that briefly looked to compete with the NFL in the 1980s. It folded after only a few years, taking the Portland Breakers with it.
