Description
Jan. 10 on The Story: Former Oregon lawmaker and gubernatorial candidate Christine Drazan debuted a new campaign on Wednesday, this one aimed at repealing Measure 110, "full stop." While Drazan's strict stance is unlikely to fly in Salem, lawmakers are currently devising some changes to state drug policies after listening to hours of testimony spread out over a period of months. They've been hearing from law enforcement officials, treatment experts and just about everyone in between. The committee held its last meeting on Wednesday — and while not all of the lawmakers involved are likely to agree on a single prescription for the problem, they've received the message loud and clear that the state needs to step in and make changes.
