Dec. 21 on The Story: Since January 2021, Kieran Ramsey has been Special Agent in Charge for the FBI's Portland field office. He inherited an office dealing with a lot of problems: an ongoing pandemic, a rise in domestic extremism, and a spike in Portland homicides fueled by gun violence, to name just a few. Now, Ramsey is heading back to the East Coast, leaving the role he's occupied for three years. He agreed to do a sit-down interview with us to talk about what strides the FBI has made in Oregon since he took the job, and what major challenges remain at the forefront as he leaves Portland behind.
