Description
Dec. 20 on The Story: After voters passed Measure 110 in 2020, decriminalizing user amounts of drugs and setting aside cannabis tax dollars for drug treatment programs, legislation adopted in Salem required that the new program undergo a series of audits by the Oregon Secretary of State's office to track its progress. The first of those audits was delivered early this year, giving a pretty lukewarm report card to the Measure 110 rollout. Now the second audit has been published, this one specifically looking at the funding that Measure 110 provided and the data gathered on what it has accomplished. Again, the results are mixed — unsurprisingly, a program this novel has undergone a lot of growing pains. But it's also a more positive report than the one released in January. Tonight we're taking a deep dive into what the auditors found.
