Dec. 19 on The Story: At Cascadia Technical Academy in Vancouver, over a dozen students out of the 1,300 enrolled have a common story — one of survival, and one shaded by the horrors of war. These students are refugees from Ukraine displaced after Russia's invasion, and they're here to learn. Most didn't know how to speak English before they arrived. Now they're not only learning the language, they're learning the tools necessary to build their own futures.
