Description
Dec. 7 on The Story: A scary side effect of fentanyl's growing ubiquity has been overdoses among Oregon teenagers, often with deadly consequences. Flush with settlement funding from opioid manufacturers and distributors, Oregon is now making the overdose reversal drug naloxone, known under the brand name Narcan, available to schools of all stripes throughout the state — an effort to save the lives of young Oregonians. It's already proving to be a popular initiative, but KGW investigative reporter Evan Watson explains why it seems to be missing a vital component for learning more about overdoses in schools.
