Description
Dec. 6 on The Story: Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler and Multnomah County Chair Jessica Vega Pederson joined together today to unveil a three-year proposal to continue partnering up on the response to homelessness. Specifically, the plan has everything to do with the embattled county-helmed agency known as the Joint Office of Homeless Services, which hasn't gotten very good reviews of late. But Wheeler and Vega Pederson say their plan will start to change that, building accountability, cooperation, long-term planning and some measurable goals into the deal. Tonight we dig into what they're proposing and what it could mean for homelessness in the greater Portland area.
