The company Solid Carbon processes biogenic carbon — leftover sludge from wastewater treatment — to add it to concrete. Ordinarily, some of that carbon would otherwise get captured and sprinkled on a farm field as fertilizer, or would be dumped into a landfill where it would then release greenhouse gases.
