In a battle to claim second place in the Mid-Willamette Conference, the West Albany Bulldogs pulled away in the fourth quarter to earn a 48-32 victory over the McKay Royal Scots on Oct. 27, 2023. Both teams will compete in the 5A state playoffs. Despite the loss, McKay finished the season with a 6-3 record, their best mark since 2003.
