The Portland Winterhawks have started the season 8-1. Now, they're embarking on a 8-game road trip through Alberta, western Saskatchewan and British Columbia. They'll travel 2,700+ miles over the course of three weeks, all of it by bus. This is the team's annual trip to the Western Hockey League's Eastern Conference. The Hawks will visit all six teams in the Central Division (Central teams visited Portland last season, while the Winterhawks traveled to the East Division in eastern Saskatchewan & Manitoba. East teams come to Portland this year). After the Central division trip, the Winterhawks will play road games in Kamploops and Vancouver, BC, before coming back to Portland.
