Description
Sept. 12 on The Story: If you've been paying attention to The Story this year, then you're probably familiar with Sen. Elizabeth Steiner. As co-chair of the powerful Joint Committee on Ways and Means, she has a lot of influence over how the Oregon Legislature allocates taxpayer funds, and she's helped walk us through how various parts of the state budget work during this last legislative session. Now she says that she plans to run for Oregon State Treasurer in 2024, hoping to be the first woman in history to hold the office. So Pat Dooris sat down with Steiner to talk about her plans and find out what she's bringing to the table.
