Description
Aug. 30 on The Story: We've all heard the stories about how Portland's central city is struggling to recover after the pandemic. Gov. Tina Kotek has even convened a special task force to address the area's issues. But an ongoing study of downtown areas in 62 cities suggests that things are actually worse than we thought — downtown Portland isn't just slow to recover, it's worse this year than it was the year prior. As it turns out, this study headed by the University of Toronto is an interesting example of how data can be deceiving, because a local study draws very different conclusions. So what accounts for the difference? We'll show you, tonight on The Story.
