July 11, 2023 on The Story: Last year, KGW reporter Blair Best introduced us to Tara Pietromonaco, a woman she met while reporting on the homeless camps that line Northeast 33rd Drive in Portland. Tara had been struggling for months to get into housing, to no avail. But in the fall, Blair found an opportunity to connect Tara with transitional housing, and she brought us along on the process of helping her make the difficult, sometimes scary move into a new environment.
