June 30, 2023 on The Story: After extensive renovations to the tune of $240 million, a transformed McDaniel High School reopened in September of 2021. But as a KGW investigation later found, the school's brand new baseball and softball fields turned out to be completely unusable for actual games due to the way they were constructed. Now senior investigative reporter Kyle Iboshi is back with an update on how Portland Public Schools is dumping another $750,000 with a no-bid contract to have the fields fixed.
