Description
Roughly 1,800 nurses from Providence Portland, Providence Seaside and Providence Home Health and Hospice are set to strike for five days starting Monday. A Providence Portland spokesperson said they'll take in fewer patients, reschedule surgeries and procedures and transfer babies from neonatal ICU unit to other Portland hospitals. They're also bringing in replacement workers to cover for the nurses on strike. Providence said it will return to bargaining after the strike is over.
