Description
President Dan Magner at Miracle Sign Co is printing out big murals for the city of Hillsboro.
"We want the public art that's out there for people to see," said Magner.
Tualatin Valley Creates Executive Director Raziah Roushan is an advocate for public art.
"The panels being installed right now are by a tapestry artist. By a printmaker. By a collage artist," Roushan said.
For a year, an old bank building downtown Hillsboro has been turning into the new Main Street Commons. Paola De La Cruz is working in a collage style.
"I keep going back and touching it, like is it actually popping out. I feel like it works so well," said De La Cruz.
Muralist Aya Morton is from the area.
"It's inspiring. There's a community there that really cares," she said.
