Description
Fire officials are investigating after a fire broke out overnight in a building on Reynolds High School property in Troutdale, Oregon.
The three-story building, which is near the track and field race track, is used to store sporting equipment. The fire damaged equipment from the school's track and field, football and soccer teams.
The fire was contained to the upper floors, and the third floor sustained the most damage, according to the Gresham Fire Department.
There were no signs of forced entry into the building, according to Steve Padilla, the Interim Director of Communications for Reynolds School District.
"We're going to have to safely remove this structure, and then we're going to have to look and see what new structure we can build," Padilla said. "So it's going to take us a while, and it's definitely going to take us into the next sporting season."
The cause of the fire hasn't been determined yet.
