Kristen Martin started her business Bring! Treats For Dogs a little over a year ago at a farmer’s market. The response she got from customers was overwhelming. Even more unique was who the clientele was: dogs! Martin moved her operation into a food cart on Southeast Division Street in Portland back in November 2022 where she bakes organic, human grade dog treats from scratch. Inspired by her own dog Moxie who has GI issues with certain additives and preservatives in popular dog treats, the menu at Bring! Treats For Dogs includes “pupcakes,” “pup tarts,” “empawnadas,” and much more. “We have formulated all of our recipes for dogs so they're not necessarily going to be sweet or something that we're used to when we look for a treat but for our dogs, they're absolutely perfect and everything has been formulated to be easily digestible,” said Martin. Between batches, she is working on retail packaging so she can sell her products in local neighborhood pet markets. You can visit Bring!
