April 17, 2023 on The Story: With Earth Day coming up this weekend, we're kicking off KGW's "Good Energy" week by revisiting the topic of electric vehicles. In Oregon, the market is a bit of a mixed bag right now. The state's biggest incentives for EV buyers are on hold, while federal credits are undergoing a shift this week. But at the same time, there's growing political pressure on the auto industry to electrify, and to do it domestically. That means that things are changing in the EV market, and relatively quickly.
