Description
Senate Bill 4 is being called Oregon’s CHIPS bill, and it's intended the state more competitive for federal funds through the big CHIPS and Science Act. It carries with it the biggest change in state land use law in 50 years, giving Gov. Tina Kotek the power to take more land inside Oregon's urban growth boundaries.
It's worth noting that one idea put forth by some lawmakers to protect farmland is to instead target golf courses. The two golf courses in question are not entirely members-only as indicated in the video, but offer public access for a price.
